Compound Raicals:Valancy

Principle: Compounds are formed by combination of negative and positive ions and their formulae are derived on the basis of the charges on the respective ions.

Applications:
This card set used as a game would help students in their understanding and in building familiarity with the Chemical Formulae of compounds (ionic compounds).

Items Required to make:
Card paper
Scissors
Scale
Sketches
List of ions and their valencies

Fun Facts to know: For making representing Organic molecules the “Ball and stick” models can be used.

Flapping of Wings:Bird

Principle: The balance that birds have while flying is due to the synchronous flapping of their wings

Applications:
Can be used to talk about periodic motion, e.g. simple harmonic motion,

Items Required to make:
Model of the bird

Things to know:Simple Harmonic Motion:- is "motion where the acceleration of a body is proportional to, and opposite in direction to the displacement from its equilibrium position". The motion is periodic, as it repeats itself at standard intervals in a specific manner - described as being sinusoidal, with constant amplitude.
