Teachers

Teaching is a unique profession – even as they teach, teachers remain students for their lives. Not surprisingly, many teachers learn from their interactions with students. Every child’s pursuit for academic excellence can be a unique learning experience for a teacher.

There is an old Chinese proverb that says:

I hear and I forget
I see and I remember
I do and I understand

How very true! Children need to go through the whole process of experimenting with situations before they can appreciate the nuances of science - analyzing the problem, developing the appropriate solutions, choosing the right materials, putting them together to arrive at the final design, taking it apart incase of deficiencies, and repeating the process from the start. With reference to teachers, hands-on learning can also be used to drive assessment so that teachers can measure both factual knowledge and comprehension.

We at Butterfly Fields believe that activity based learning holds the key to the future of education and that the onus of taking our education system to the next level lies with teachers. To revolutionize our education system, teachers must first dare to go beyond conventional methods of teaching and try innovative methods of reaching out to students.

For teachers who are willing to join us in our endeavor, we are willing to help in every possible manner to make this dream come true. We have conducted our programs at Sanghamitra school, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Public School, Jubilee hills; The Jain International School, Silver Oaks, Little Flower School, All Saints School .etc. an around 600 government school teachers across various mandals of Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh.

Here are some of our initiatives which aim at promoting hands on teaching and help teachers make their classes more exciting & meaningful:
• Training programs for teachers
• Curriculum based content development
• Training material and teaching aids
• Partnering with schools in their research activities
