Parents

At Butterfly Fields, we understand that your child’s future is of utmost importance to you. Our activities and workshops are programmed to equip your children with an open mind, strong reasoning, independence of thought, and self confidence to create their future with their own hands.

We believe that hands-on Learning:

• Encourages children to observe and question what they see; thus children become familiar with events and variables involved in learning the concepts
• Forces children to understand the problem and come up with appropriate solutions instead of just memorizing the correct responses
• Promotes a sense of accomplishment
• Enables children apply the problem-solving approach to other learning situations in future.
• Reduces dependency on superiors for guidance and promotes independent thinking and decision-making based on direct evidence and experiences
• Increases perception and creativity
• Improves communication skills and team-work
• And of course, brings in fun and enjoyment back into learning

Why Butterfly Fields, do you ask?

Unlike in schools, we at Butterfly Fields, help children look beyond grades and exams and concentrate of learning. We believe that every child, if self-motivated, can excel in academics. • Rediscover the joy of learning
• Learn to think creatively and innovate
• Apply theoretical knowledge to real-life applications
• Build a strong foundation in Science and Math
• Become independent, make choices, and more importantly, take responsibility for those choices

FAQs

Is activity based learning really useful?

Have you ever wondered why India does not produce many Nobel Prize winning scientists? It’s not our genes that are to blame. Indians are widely acclaimed as being some of the most intelligent people in the world. The fault really lies with our education system. Most developed nations, including the ones that give the world our Nobel laureates, adopt an activity based approach to education. Rote learning kills a child’s creativity and lays undue emphasis on grades. Activity based learning, on the other hand, helps children connect their learning to real life and encourages them to innovate. In the end, it is only creativity that leads to path breaking discoveries and inventions in the world. Activity based learning, therefore, holds the key to better and more relevant education.
